Little Creatures Brewing was born out of a love affair with hoppy beers, so it’s fair to say that we’re serious about flavour. For the past decade we have poured much of our passion into brewing the best Pale Ale possible and we felt the time was right to introduce IPA
The decision to add new ale to our little family was not made lightly. We chatted with our community of Hopheads, debated at the brewhouse and did our fair share of research. The outcome felt natural… we would introduce a permanent IPA to our range.
We think we’ve learned a thing or two about brewing since the early days back at the turn of the century and the Little Creatures IPA is the culmination of this knowledge and experience. It’s a reflection of our past and also our future, and is our unique take on the style.
Sitting alongside Pale Ale, our IPA will deliver big, rugged hop flavours. You can expect an aroma of passionfruit, grapefruit and a touch of aniseed spice. A smooth round palate, which is soft in the middle, delivers a long bitter finish that leaves you wanting a little more.

Did you know? Our brewers went a little crazy with our IPA and we use over 40kg (per 100Hl) of glorious Amarillo for dry-hopping. That's a lot.
how does IPA
We’re obsessed with hops and throw bag-loads of whole hop flowers into our beers at different stages of the brewing process.
We care deeply about your tastebuds and their satisfaction, so we constantly push ourselves to brew the most consistent, tasty beer possible.
Just like all fresh ingredients, we source our hops based on seasonality, working with growers here at home, in NZ and as far afield as the United States.
Well, who else really? From the beer to the way we pour a pint, brewers lead everything we do. And rightly so.
